Delightful Powder Room
In a small setting such as a powder room, the accessories, such as the fabric are what will really give the room vibrancy. If there is no window in the small bathroom then cut the fabric to fit into picture frames and hang a grouping of them on the largest wall, or a single picture frame over the toilet. I would leave out the area rug so as to not clutter the space unless it is a necessity. Instead, bring in more gray or coral through the use of hand towels. Gold light fixtures or toilet paper holders will add extra sparkle. Or use this fabulous metallic for the taps to really stand out. I would also recommend keeping the cabinetry and counter light so they don’t weigh down the powder room.

In a larger space like a rumpus room, you have more space to play around with textures and patterns. Use pops of coral in the art, the window coverings, and even on the furniture. You can find some beautiful patterns for roller blinds now! The vinyl flooring will be great for easy cleaning while adding a pattern to the room and a bit of visual weight to anchor the space.
A large area rug made from the carpet provides a soft place for kids to play and be used to create zones into a large open room. An example of this would be to use an area rug to create a zone where everyone sits to watch tv, while another area creates a zone for a play or craft area, all in the same open room.
