Moodboard Monday: Staggered Peaks

Moodboard Mondays

Moodboard Monday Inspiration Series

Moodboard Monday: Staggered Peaks brings a breath of fresh mountain air to your room with this modern material board. Incoporates a similar color to blueprint 2019 color of the year - The Inspired Decorator inspireddecorator.com

Staggered Peaks

Take a deep breath of the fresh mountain air every day with this moodboard. Whether you are a winter enthusiast or breezing through the outdoors, you have probably noticed that there is just something about being in nature. By using natural elements in your home design , you can get some of that feeling, even in the city.

This moodboard is inspired by the beautiful Canadian mountains. With snow-capped mountain peaks staggered across the horizon, and crystal blue skies, it’s easy to escape to another world. Winter has a beauty of its own. It’s not bright and bold but clear and crisp. It’s a great source of inspiration to go with today’s trendy gray tones.

This quartz stone would look amazing on a floor to ceiling fireplace. After a day out with the family on the slopes it would be the perfect spot to warm up by the crackling fire. The stone will glitter in the sunlight streaming through the windows into the family room.

The patterned area rug provides a cozy spot to curl up on while you thaw out. The rugged laminate compliments the decor while the touch of brown keeps the room from feeling too cold. Plus it is water resistant so you don’t have to worry about the snow droplets melting on it.

The grey-blue wall colour matches great with the sky outdoors. It brings some colour into an otherwise neutral room. This Benjamin Moore swatch greatly resembles the 2019 Color Of The Year pick by Behr.

I’ll meet you by the fireplace with the hot cocoa!
